WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme run by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. Check out her post and others over on her blog!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I had hoped I might finish Star Wars: Thrawn by Timothy Zahn by now, but alas, I have just over 100 pages left in the book. This does mean I’ll be done with it very soon, though, so I’m still happy about that. I continue to be compelled by Thrawn’s story and the ways he resolves complicated situations, earning him accolades, but woven throughout this novel is also the story of Arihnda Pryce, a young woman working her way up government ranks, rather than the navy. Since she’s an established character prior to this novel I have been interested in her story, but I have to wonder where it’s all going. I can’t tell if her rise will intersect with Thrawn’s in a more meaningful way, or if her origin was just snuck into this novel because it couldn’t have carried a book on its own.
Nothing for this week, I’m afraid. Hopefully the only time that will be the case this month.
Over the past few weeks I’ve pointed out a number of books I want to read in December, so lets make this section a little more interesting this week. Not only do I want to read Stardust by Neil Gaiman and Marley’s Ghost by Harvey Kurtzman soon, but I challenge myself to have them both finished alongside Thrawn by next week. Now, I know I haven’t had a perfect track record recently, so I may be overextending myself. I do want to get a non-book related Star Wars post finished before the new movie comes out too. So I accept this may not happen. All the same, I’d just like to at least finish all that I plan to read in December, since all my other personal reading challenges are pretty much bust.
Until next week, thank you for reading! Feel free to share your own post, or what you’re reading, down below.

The cover of Stardust is so pretty!!!!
December is a pretty busy month, so you can use that excuse. I certainly do. For everything. xD Oooh, a bit of a challenge, hm? Well, good luck! I hope you’re able to meet your goal. I never did read Stardust, though I watched the movie. Depending on what you think of it, I might decide to give it a try. No pressure. 😛
Here’s my WWW post.
Never got around to see the Stardust film, but I can’t think about the book without remembering that it exists. The holidays are a good excuse, to be sure, I just don’t want to slack on these things if I can help it. I kind of cornered myself by putting something off for too long, but hopefully I can get it finished.
Enjoy your reading!
I’m currently reading The toll and absolutely loving it!
Great to hear! What’s the genre?
The toll is book three in the scythe series, and is dystopian 🙂
As long as you’re enjoying the current read, who cares how long it takes! I finished Lock Every Door this week and really enjoyed it. Then I picked up a bunch of different things and read a little of everything haha. Have a great week!
You’re absolutely right, I just tend to put a degree or pressure on myself to get readings done, especially since my pace is typically a lot slower than other people. I do try to balance it though. No sense in marathoning a book so hard you no longer enjoy it.
I have my tickets for the Star Wars movie and my plan to get there and get good seats and that is occupying so much of my attention right now that I have made few other goals. I’m ridiculous!
I love (LOVED) Stardust. I hope you get the chance to read it sometime soon.
Here is my WWW: https://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/12/11/www-wednesday-december-11-2019/
I’ve got my tickets ready for next week too. I’m really excited, though I think I’ve managed to keep myself from being over-hyped, which will probably be for the best.
If all goes according to plan, I’ll have Stardust done by next Wednesday 🙂
